Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What output power levels does the Eachine TX805 VTX support?
A: The TX805 supports four switchable output power levels — 25mW, 200mW, 600mW, and 800mW — selectable via a single button or through Betaflight OSD using Smart Audio. Lower power is ideal for close-range or pit-area flying; 800mW provides maximum range for long-distance FPV sessions.
Q: Is the Eachine TX805 compatible with Betaflight and OSD configuration?
A: Yes. The TX805 fully supports Smart Audio, allowing you to configure channels, bands, and power levels directly from your Betaflight flight controller's OSD menu. No additional tools or apps are required once your FC wiring is set up.
Q: What is Pit Mode and how do I use it on the TX805?
A: Pit Mode sets the transmitter to an extremely low output (~0.01mW) so you can power up your quad in a staging area without interfering with other pilots on the same frequency. You can change channel and power settings while in Pit Mode — they take effect when you exit. To exit, either hold the button for 12 seconds or use the Betaflight OSD option.
Q: What antenna connector does the TX805 use?
A: The TX805 uses an MMCX antenna connector. The package includes an MMCX pigtail antenna and an adapter cable (RP-SMA or SMA Female) so you can connect most standard FPV antennas right out of the box.
Q: Does the TX805 fit a standard 30.5mm stack?
A: Yes. The TX805 is designed with a 30.5mm mounting-hole pattern, making it fully compatible with standard flight controller and ESC stack configurations. Its compact 36×22×5mm profile and lightweight 8g body (excluding antenna) ensure it won't add noticeable bulk to your build.
