Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are these wide mouth storage bottles safe for storing food-grade liquids?

A: Yes — these bottles are made from food-grade and laboratory-grade polypropylene (PP), which is a safe, non-toxic, and corrosion-resistant plastic. However, please note the product listing specifies "Require Food Contact: No," so they are best suited for non-food laboratory, educational, or general storage use.

Q: Are the lids truly leakproof?

A: The bottles feature tightly sealing screw-top lids designed to prevent leaks and spills during storage and transport. For best results, ensure the lid is firmly screwed down before moving or storing the bottle horizontally.

Q: Can these bottles be autoclaved or sterilised?

A: Yes — the polypropylene material is autoclavable, making these bottles suitable for laboratory sterilisation processes. Always follow standard lab safety protocols when autoclaving.

Q: What is the difference between the 500ml and 1000ml options?

A: Both bottles share the same wide-mouth design, transparent body, graduated markings, and leakproof screw cap — the only difference is the capacity. Choose 500ml for smaller sample storage or 1000ml for larger volume requirements.
